Uses
RETIN-A tretinoin is indicated for: topical application in the treatment of acne vulgaris. 1 Pediatrics Pediatrics (< 18 years of age): The safety and efficacy of RETIN-A in pediatric patients have not been established; therefore, Health Canada has not authorized an indication for pediatric patients (see WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS, Special Populations, Pediatrics).
2 Geriatrics Geriatrics (≥ 65 years of age): A limited number of subjects aged ≥ 65 years have been treated with RETIN-A in clinical trials; therefore, the safety and efficacy of RETIN-A have not been established in this patient population (see WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS, Special Populations, Geriatrics).

1 INDICATIONS AND USAGE Tretinoin capsules are indicated for the induction of remission in adults and pediatric patients 1 year of age and older with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) characterized by the presence of the t(15;17) translocation or PML/RARα gene expression, and who are refractory to or who have relapsed from anthracycline chemotherapy or for whom anthracycline-based chemotherapy is contraindicated.
