Uses
CYSTADROPS (cysteamine ophthalmic solution) is indicated for: the treatment of corneal cystine crystal deposits in adults and children from 2 years of age with cystinosis. 1 Pediatrics Pediatrics (≥ 2 years of age): Based on the data submitted and reviewed by Health Canada, the safety and efficacy of CYSTADROPS in pediatric patients has been established; therefore, Health Canada has authorized an indication for pediatric use (see Clinical Trials).
2 Geriatrics Geriatrics (> 65 years of age): No data are available to Health Canada; therefore, Health Canada has not authorized an indication for geriatric use.
