Uses
Lung Function Medical Gas Mixture 4 is used in pulmonary function tests to measure gas transfer in the lung. Carbon monoxide is more easily absorbed than helium. By differential calculation, deficiencies in gas transfer and diffusion across the alveolar membrane can be measured.
