Uses
1). Efficacy has been shown in idiopathic PAH (IPAH) and in PAH associated with connective tissue disease. Ambrisentan is indicated for treatment of PAH in adolescents and children (aged 8 to less than 18 years) of WHO Functional Class (FC) II to III including use in combination treatment.

Auro-Ambrisentan (ambrisentan tablets) is indicated for treatment of idiopathic (‘primary’) pulmonary arterial hypertension (IPAH) and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) associated with connective tissue disease in adult patients with WHO functional class II or III symptoms.
Auro-Ambrisentan should only be used by clinicians experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of IPAH or PAH. 1 Pediatrics (< 18 years of age) No data are available to Health Canada; therefore, Health Canada has not authorized an indication for pediatric use.

Studies establishing effectiveness included predominantly patients with WHO Functional Class II–III symptoms and etiologies of idiopathic or heritable PAH (60%) or PAH associated with connective tissue diseases (34%).
