Rasagiline Brown & Burk is indicated in adults for the treatment of idiopathic Parkinson's disease as monotherapy (without levodopa) or as adjunct therapy (with levodopa) in patients with end of dose fluctuations.

Uses
AZILECT (rasagiline tablets) is indicated for: the treatment of the signs and symptoms of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease as initial monotherapy, and as adjunct therapy to dopamine agonists or to levodopa. The effectiveness of AZILECT was demonstrated in patients with early Parkinson’s disease who were receiving AZILECT as monotherapy and who were not receiving any concomitant dopaminergic therapy.
The effectiveness of AZILECT as adjunct therapy was demonstrated in patients with Parkinson’s disease who were treated with dopamine agonists in early stages o r levodopa in more advanced stages of the disease. 1 Pediatrics Pediatrics (< 18 years of age): Based on the data submitted and reviewed by Health Canada, the safety and efficacy of AZILECT in pediatric patients has not been established; therefore, Health Canada has not authorized an indication for pediatric use.
3 Pediatrics. 2 Geriatrics Geriatrics (> 65 years of age): Approximately half of patients in clinical trials were 65 years and over. There were no significant differences in the safety profile of the geriatric and non -geriatric patients.
