UVADEX® (methoxsalen) Sterile Solution is indicated for extracorporeal administration with the THERAKOS® CELLEX® Photopheresis System in the palliative treatment of the skin manifestations of Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma (CTCL) that is unresponsive to other forms of treatment.
The indication was authorized based on response rate (25% reduction in skin score maintained for four consecutive weeks) demonstrated in a single-arm phase II study (see 14 CLINICAL TRIALS). Only patients with patch plaque, extensive plaque and erythrodermic disease were enrolled in these studies.
There are no data available regarding the efficacy of UVADEX in patients with dise ase in the tumor phase. There is no clinical evidence to show that treatment with UVADEX beyond six months provides additional benefit if the patient has not responded within this timeframe (see 14 CLINICAL TRIALS).
