INDICATIONS AND USAGE
Isosorbide dinitrate tablets are indicated for the prevention of angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease. The onset of action of immediate-release oral isosorbide dinitrate is not sufficiently rapid for this product to be useful in aborting an acute anginal episode.

ISDN (isosorbide dinitrate tablets) is indicated for: Prophylaxis of ischemic heart pain associated with coronary insufficiency. ISDN may reduce the number, duration and severity of anginal attacks; exercise tolerance may be increased and nitroglycerin requirements curtailed.
1 Pediatrics Pediatrics (<18 years of age): No data are available to Health Canada; therefore, Health Canada has not authorized an indication for pediatric use. 2 Geriatrics Geriatrics (≥ 65 years of age): Evidence from clinical studies and experience suggests that use in the geriatric population is associated with differences in safety or effectiveness.
